malaysia's downfall

people are quick to criticize, quick to judge and desperate to find fault with our malaysian government. what makes this worse, is these all come from the malaysian people. but then again, i guess that i life. people are quick to see the bad in things.

but what if we were to stop for a moment, and see and acknowledge the effort that people are putting in. it might not be up to your standards, but, there is effort, and that is something we should acknowwledge and not dismiss it so easily.

its saddening, that instead of standing united, we are so divided. we don't stand together as one nation, in fact the very first to criticize our own.

singapore

my first trip of 2014, with my best friend of 10 years. i was pretty excited for a few reasons.

1. it would be my first trip of the year
2. it would be my first overseas trip with yen
3. i would be meeting my bestie-bobo, after too long
4. we were going to universal studios and im a sucker for shrek and madagascar
5. holiday-day-day

highlight #1: we touched down at 9 something, checked in our hotel, and begun the journey to far far away land. people who know me, should know (well really, if you don't means you don't know me that well), that i'm super terrified of adrenaline-ish rides. i'm no adrenaline junkie. so i was proud that i went on the mummy. i screamt so much, that when it stopped, i was still screaming my heart out. yen had to go, 'stopped already, finish already'. i have to say that was the highlight of our uss trip. we went on teh canopy jurassic ride as well, and again, i screamt so badly, that i was super paiseh. noone else screamy, gosh. super paiseh.

highlight #2: gardens by the bay. we didn't manage to spend much time there, but i thoroughly enjoyed it. i loved it. im a sucker for parks and gardens. i love running so much, that running in parks overseas is a common thing on my itinerary. didn't manage to visit the domes, so that's on my to do list the next time i'm back. also, i want to run in the park, and run from marina bay sands to clary quay, to the sports hub and back to mbs. it would be awesome to do that. we also did alot of stupid things, like, climb a horse. i hv alot of stupid moments with bobo,

highlight #3: cycling in eastcoastpark, was amazing. it was a spontaneous decision, and off we went, cycling from 230 till 530. we stopped frequently to take pictures, and eat. the scenery was good, and since i'm such a sporty person, this was so up my alley. i would definitely do this again in singapore.

highlight #4: i have to say was the eating. from ramen, to ice cream sandwiches, to sciccors cut rice for supper, to classy english brunches, to having a durian party (durian strudels, durian cake, durian puffs, durian crepes), to chilli crabs, to cheese prawns, you name it. we went overboard with the eating definitely.

hightlight #5: casino taime. me and bobo spent some time in the casino. and won. da-da-da-dum.

hightlight #6: shots in a bar. downing jaegers, drinking mojitos. yumers.

singapore, we will be back, i promise you.
